@doublebassheeltoe Scouts were amazing in 1992. But Crossmen just had a level of hype and energy that was unparalleled. Also, don't judge the cleanliness by this video; it's way distorted. They were clean.

I want this played at my funeral.
Okay, not really.
But at least at the after-party.

What a badass year for the Crossmen! Am I right?

I used to play this over and over again on my VHS tape. In '99 I was in Air Force Basic Training with one of the guys in the snare line. There was also a guy who was a former Cavalier there too!

The drum solo that made me want to play corps style snare. Just awesome.

@jadebrew No! They're are so many great Corps in the northern US, this is the only World Class Corps here in Texas and it's only fair.

@Direwolf56 Thurston's writing was always tasty and groovy... I dont care what the difficulty level is either, I agree with you, his beats were always cool.

@spreadheaddon bless her heart, I bet that was incredible inspiration and motivation for the corps and staff members. Great year as well, I was in midwestern region (back when there was a DCE, DCM, etc) so we didnt catch you guys until mid July... great show... Crossman 1990 through 1993 were incredible years for the organization and regardless of scores, definitely each of the those years was one of the most memorable shows of the entire season. Thurston... that dude wrote groove baby!

I love this show, I really do. But how this beat Scouts in drums that year is beyond me.
Bring the Crossmen home to PA!

BEST.....DRUM.....FEATURE.....EVER!!!!!
And lets not forget the resolution with the horns at the end of the feature was sick! THAT was also a REALLY good hornline as well. I believe it was visual performance that let them down but the musical book had such a high degree of difficulty that could be forgiven!
