Save MTD! Vote YES on Measure A-2008 for Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District.

In this Short-Leash Subject for Off-Leash Public Affairs (OLPA), Santa Barbara County Supervisor Salud Carbajal and Santa Barbara City Councilmember Helene Schneider separately explain what Measure A on the November 2008 ballot is all about and how Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District (SBMTD or MTD) would take a huge financial hit and have to cut back bus services if Measure A fails to pass during this election.

Schneider also outlines other projects in Santa Barbara County that also would be funded by Measure A, such as road repair, sidewalk installation for Safe Routes To Schools, bikeways, and inter-county commuter trains.
