  • A protest is planned right in front of City Hall Tuesday March 18 at 5:30pm. Please come and show your support for free speech and the arts in Troy, and speak out against the corruption evident in Mr. Mirch's recent actions. FREE TROY!!!

  • Freedom of speech means the freedom to disagee and express oneself freely without discrimination.

This is only artwork created by a peaceful individual who wishes to express himself and generously share his gift with others. Shall we start burning books next?

  • I remember reading about this in the local newspapers and just reading about the artwork sounded impressive. I never got to see the real deal but the fact that all these reactionaries protested the art shows how little of a discussion there even was between the two opposing feelings on the artwork.

  • Reporter: Do you know what it's about?

Inbread fuck: No but that's never stopped me from harassing people who are darker than me befor.

  • fuck that piece of shit.

  • ok mr. jivey so lets sensor every individuals creativity. Reason being: any art created could possibly depict a violent act towards a politician. if that was the case u couldnt hand off you 10$ to your local regal cinema to view your image of acceptable "VIOLENT ART"

  • God bless Bob Mirch. You want to blow up my president, he shuts you down, using the law of the land.

This "artist's" agenda is not free speech or to get you to think, but to plant the seed in some weak-minded person to kill the president and start chaos.

If this exhibit was against Obama or FDR, I would want it shut down!

  • OK, now that some time has passed and we have a different group in office, I would like to ask what I feel is a reasonable question. If Barack Obama were to be depicted in the same exact manner, would you all react in the same manner?

  • Waffa is an extremely intelligent, thoughtful and sensitive artist - to all of those who are not taking the time to actually SEE his exhibit - why not just open your minds to this new kind of ANTI-terrorist response. The anger you are feeling is really anger against terrorism, not anger against the exhibit. The exhibit is supposed to make you feel unsettled and and to make you question the norm. All great art looks beyond the obvious - Wafaa doesn't actually want to kill Bush, obviously!

  • What a sad display of unAmericanism the protest was. It's no wonder the Republicans got it handed to them in November. Americans are sick of this nonsense.

  • What about the free speech of those that were protesting? Isn't it unpalatable to you?

That's FREE SPEECH BABY!!! Take it as much as you give it!!
