Happy Valley is a beautiful area of native bush, fragile wetlands and a thriving ecosystem of native birds and animals located on the West Coast of New Zealand, just North East of Westport. It is home to many threatened species including the Great Spotted Kiwi and the large native Patrickensis land snail.... and it is under attack from state-owned enterprise Solid Energy!

1080 kills more of the coast than mineing so y not save the coast, happy vally is only a small part,1080 kills more snails than the mine ever will, ive found so many dead snails in areas 1080s been laid in for years, not only snails but most animal big and small,so what next,is it going to take a human death first or what

The majority of the jobs for the Cypress Mine are for earthmoving contractors. These sort of contractors generally come from outside of the West Coast. Therefore the Save Happy Valley Campaign will not affect local employment.

Who needs to get a job and a life? How do you know that the people you refer to don't have a job and a life?

Great bit of opinion. How do you arrive at that wonderfully insightful conclusion?
