how much does a designer charge for this work?

@bicepsca
Most designers working on this level charge around $100 to $150 per hour for consulting with no mark-up on anything attached to the home. This might sound high, but I know that I save my clients my fees many times over by helping them make budget friendly choices. In one of these homes the original tile and stone bid came in at over $600,000. I was able to bring it down to around $260,000 by switching materials and patterns without compromising the look the client wanted.

@susanberrydesign i am a investor from Montreal Canada, I am working with a few investors that buy from 50 to 100 homes a month. Small homes for resale. I am thinking about getting a designer to give us a few small ideas to resell to other canadians.

@bicepsca You need someone with a sharp eye to walk the house & give you a multi-point report of what needs to be freshened & repaired (different than the building inspection) along with photos & quick economical suggestions to upgrade paint finishes & other finishes for more curb appeal for your buyers. This can also be done from photos if you want to create a standard upgrade type of package. For example, you always paint the exteriors one of 3 combinations. susanberrydesign@aol.com to talk
