That is just my view but new stories do deserve higher priority. Although I accept to many foreign stories are ignored

No the prince being racist is a priority he is 3rd in line for head of state. The prince story was a new story the other two were in the news but had consistently been reported as main headlines over the last few weeks and months in the case of the economy. A new story will allways be higher up.
