  • @cityraildude - Unfortunately, most of the Australian model train suppliers are too busy having models made of all the trains blokes like me wanted when we were growing up (i.e. 30-odd years ago) to have time to put out a Tangara. One of them has only just got around to doing an XPT, for Pete's sake.

  • @M3GASIMS the H is the replacement for the V nicknamed OSCar for Outer SUburban Car

  • @SchneiderKreuznach that explains even more, since I have no need to catch those...

  • I wish I had a model tangara right now :(....

  • is the h set like the new version of the v set?

  • @sincityfire

They range in age from 15 to 22 years. That's nothing for a train, V-sets are up to 33 years old and their class is 40 years old however the first series are retired. Any aircon deficiencies of the Tangaras would be the fault of poor maintainence, as no aircon could be expected to provide good service after so long unless it's been overhauled. You should complain to your State Member of Parliament if your ride is uncomfortable.

  • Excellent video

this sector is separate from where the XPT??

    Greetings from Argentina

    Gustavo

  • @AquaRing The only chance of seeing them on a Western Line is when they are operating the Springwood and Lithgow services

  • the Tangara's are getting old. some of them don't have very good air conditioning anymore or none at all now...

  • I prefer the Tangara ove the OSCar's. The Tangara for it's time when released was Miles ahead in looks style and comfort, it still looks modern today. evan 22 years after it first hit the tracks in 1988.

The Tangara's are one spunky Train for me there the best of the city rail fleet

  • These...Tangara I see all the time, but...I don't think I've ever seen this Oscar set (but it looks outwardly similar to the Millennium set, which I do see occasionally, so I might be getting confused).

Now that I look on Wikipedia, apparently these hardly ever operate on the Western line - that explains a lot (my closest station is St Marys').

  • looks cool but i bet its gonna get graffiti soon

  • Great video !!!

  • my dad works for united group he dosnt stop tlking about oscar

  • I used to like it when they'd have the guard wave the flag in the middle of the train...I think the last time I saw that was 2000

  • this was in the afternoon wasnt it i used to catch this with my grandparents heading up to gordon

  • LigisdAodSmg bro you are biting a swedish writer chief
