Father and Son re enact the fife and drum during the battles. The British Army discovered around the 15th century that above all other noise, gunfire, yelling, sounds of horses, etc., on a battlefield a fife and drum usually could be heard. They developed many different tunes that if played would tell the different troop units what to do on a confusing battlefield. Such as attack, charge, turn right, turn left, retreat and so on.

  • Great authentic sound

  • c'est super

  • that was good. i dont know if the person who posted this is in the vidio or knows the people in the vidio, but i have one suggestion to the fifer. you have very good sound but are playing to notes to sticcatto or short. try making them a little longer. also, to make you fingers move smoother, practice your scales. scales are very helpful.

  • Good video!
