  • I can attest to Luis' aikido. I am the "kicking uke" in this flic, filmed by my wife at the Coronado Springs US Open at Disney World Orlando, FL. Luis is very good. I have traveled to dojos throughout the country and other parts of the world, and you won't find many with his focus and skill. As far as Seagal and the rank issue... Whatever. AIKIKAI is political, rank is meaningless. The truth is when it actually has to be used.

Congrats to Sensei Santos on his Shihan at DNBK.

  • Yes! I know who this is and we all miss you here in Orlando!! I hope all is well and good up there

  • Aweseome I agree, but one cannot say Aikido is the most effective way of self defense.

  • Come experience what we do for yourself and you might change your mind. We are a hard, practical style of Aikido. I invite you to our Dojo in Orlando, FL anytime you would like to come. Sensei's phone number is 407-446-3723 and he would be happy to give you directions. Plus, we would be very interested in seeing whatever style you study, we are very open minded. We have been to Jeet Kune Do seminars and they end up being more impressed with what we do. JKD isn't effective against what we do

  • hey santos, whats good man. its me anton.

  • Very good aikido,,i,m cuban and in my country the aikido is famous thanks to Seagal Sensei,,

  • Well, all I can say is that I've experienced Japanese teachers, and the truth about ANY marital art is that in the dojo environment, the ukes are essentially "willing victims", physicaly, psychologically, or both. I've used aikido for real, on several occasions, against opponents who didn't like me, and were far from willing. To say that a martial art is less convoluted in Japan than the U.S. is inaccurate, and I can give you plenty of examples from personal experience.

  • It's nice to be missed. I mailed you. Please respond through Messaging if you don't mind. Have a nice day.

  • ...to answer your question, Kissimmee Dojo, 1998.

  • Whoever wrote me the question from my last post, write again. I lost the email by accident. Sorry.
