Sharon Anderson, a member of Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Burr Ridge, IL, discusses how she lost more than 100 pounds after joining the club less than two years ago.
The club selected Anderson as its Honorary Ambassador for the "I Lost it At the Club" program that begins in January 2010.
In recognizing her inspirational transformation, Five Seasons awarded Anderson a certificate for a free Salon & Spa package that includes a one-hour massage, body polish and rejuvenation, manicure and pedicure. She also receives a complimentary locker rental for a year.
"If I can do it, anybody can," Anderson said. "For years, my weight had more ups and downs than a rollercoaster ride, and Five Seasons played an instrumental role in empowering me to get on the road to long-term wellness."
Coordinated by the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA), the program begins January 11 and ends on March 5. As part of the program, Five Seasons will launch multiple group training options and hold educational workshops each week presented by fitness and medical professionals.
