I believe Square does not and did not follow through with any projects that did not rake in cash. Because Threads of Fate was released in the shadows of Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross, it became unknown as it did not have a famous history to hype it up.

All true fans of this game want a sequel don't they? I heard there is one but it's fan-made... Man, why?

They just left final 3rd ending as a cliff hanger! They said they were going to find an aeon in the desert... Why can't they come up with the story already?

I wonder if Square-Enix is neglecting their own game... I think I would shed some tears if they did... :(
