Bahrain Fish Market

This is how the fish mongers prepare their catch at the largest fish market in Bahrain. I saw no filleting of fish, just steaks. Not the most impressive display of knife/fish cleaning skills. I would be very weary of cross contamination and cleanliness. Just rest assured I didn't purchase any of these fish!

Whoa. That was freaking weird. I thought that dude was about to cut off his finger just about the whole time. And I was blown away when I saw him use what I thought was the backside of the knife as the cutting edge.

yeah, and... he contaminated the meat by not cleaning his knife when cleaning the fish. By MY standards anyway, this guy would never prepare my fish. My fish guy is far from Japan and home, but farther from Bahrain and the backwards knofe academy
