Yup, I think Yuen Biao's cyclone kick at the start looked better than jackies(chin kar loks) from dragons forever, this is deffinately his best film next to that one,i think both of them dying is too depressing, better they live then it's more inspireing. Still one of my personal favs!!!

Jackie was only doubled for that kick in Dragon's Forever because he couldn't do it with his left leg. He was perfectly capable with his right. Just check out Miracles and Drunken Master 2.

If the two endings combined really did the movie and the fans of Rothrock and Biao justice instead of having them both killed, then I would say to the people at Golden Harvest for redoing the endings: "Well Done Mates."

Yuen Biao was technically much superior to Jackie Chan. He had far more technique and also was trained in chinese jujitsu. Yuen Biao was a lot more acrobatic than Jackie Chan as well, but did not overkill it it like Jackie Chan.

I love the theme music for this movie. I must have watched it dozens of times in the 80's. I always thought that this was the original ending, as I saw it on a Hong Kong video tape. I never saw the ending where he is floating dead in the water until years later.

everyone dies. the heroes both die, which is why they made a alt version on the movie.

lol this ending is better than than the original, but still no good. i think it should have been rothrock dies, meaning greater anger from biao to set up the last fight, but biao survives with him being revived on the boat without the bloody 8 months setence ending. i mean lol what kinda ending is that with him being sentenced after saving the day.
