To all the viewers, Try it out, it is huge fun. I think every person who suits up discovers that fighting an unwilling and actively resisting opponent is far more difficult than you imagined - and more fun too! Remember the lessons learned by MMA competitors, those combat arts which aren't being practiced with realistic training scenarios are not practical when faced by aggressive battle hardened opponents.

I wish there was a way for me to participate in something like this in India but the idea itself is soo farfetched it saddens me :(
the closest I can get to this is to duel with semi-interested friends of mine with wooden swords that I made...

@flibbertygibbet Not this year. Several years in the past though. In 2009 I was 5th, I think. Sad that I took too long a break.

wth is all this holding your arm above your head for 10 seconds standing inches apart..sorrt it just doesnt happen this way... you look silly wearing all this army than trying to 'bop' each other on the head.
also why do you have collapsable tables in the middle of your battlefield and low hanging lights above?
cool but weird...how do i get into this i want to beat you guys around..bring a bit of passion and intensity to the battlefield
