The Atlantis, the premier luxury resort located on the Palm Jumeirah island opened its doors to welcome its first guests yesterday.

The heavily anticipated inauguration of Dubai's initiative integrated entertainment resort is expected to raise Dubai's already booming tourism allure, according to the developer, Kerzner International.

Alan Leibman, President and Managing Director of Kerzner International, said Following an intense development period of long days and nights by a team of approximately 3,000, we are proud to introduce Atlantis, The Palm to our first guests and the public. Atlantis, The Palm is an entertainment destination that is truly different than anything that currently exists in the resort category in the region.

The 1539 guest rooms and suites located in the Atlantis' Royal Towers offer spectacular Arabian Gulf and inland Palm Jumeirah views over the private balconies.

The resort rates begin at Dh 1675 per night and guests have a wide selection of accommodation facilities to choose from.

Salt and fresh water attractions, water adventures and open-air marine habitats are the centric points of the luxury resort, featuring a range of entertaining activities for both guests and visitors.

Funny thing is, they closed the whole palm down for the fire works!! People live there, they had to be home before 1600 or stuck!!

How pathetic ! And nowwww watch Atlantis Rising whahaha its an Projector shining on the building and I was looking like ( ** ) Is it really going to rise out of the sea ! any ways really really Amazing how fast they build Dubai in such a short amount of time. Nice Fire works it was a 1 and only event because of the grand opening would have loved to see that smell it hear it taste it. For every one reading this I wish you and all fam. a happy healthy 2011 *take Care* 2012 here we come :P
