BTW, I support Dr. Laura not because of her offending adults of any size, shape, or color, but because she defends kids. At the end of the day kids are her #1 priority. Often that means that she has to make some selfish women really take a good look at herself and remember to put her kids first, whatever that may entail. She doesn't tolerate abuse, adultry, or addiction and supports women in those situations, but her main focus is the kds. That's a good woman who deserves some respect.

oh come on luf4rall. Of course I know what you were insinuating when you played the 'conservative' card at the end of a fairly decent and fair post. But instead, you just showed your true colors as just another small minded person trying to blame racism on social conservatism. You and "most people who would agree with" you are just as bad as racists whether they are conservative, liberal, or independent. They come in all packages.
-
@TheGrangie Social conservatism is a political, and usually morally influenced, ideology that focuses on the preservation of what are seen as traditional values. Of course, it doesn't make you a racist when you identify with a particular ideology, but it does influence your views of what is "right" and "wrong". I think that most people would agree with me if I said "It seems like most people who are racist in the USA are socially conservative." Congratulations on not being one.

@TheGrangie Yeah I was baffled by that comment too. I'm a liberal, but what's that got to do with anything?
-
@luf4rall uh, what does 'socially conservative' have to do with it? I'm socially conservative and I don't use the n-word, discriminate against n-words, nor do I have a racist bone in my body. Keep in mind you are an idiot.

@MrDissidiaFan there's still no reason to even say it when you know it stirs shit up, no matter who says it. people just need to quit it

"Dr Nora" on Fraiser is hilarious its on You Tube you all should check it out
-
What about John Lennon? He used the N-word in a non-offensive way.
-
@shelleymagnussen1959 Yes Dr. Laura is under time constraints and doesn't have time to sugar-coat everything, but that excuse doesn't fly with me here because her point was totally flawed to begin with.

top comments = white people who want to drop the n-word and not get fucked up. gtfo you aren't black and watching HBO is no reason for white friends of your white husband to offend a fucking woman who is black.
im black. i honestly dont think this woman did anything wrong. she wasnt calling the woman the n word or referring tht anyone was. she just basicly said that thats all you hear on tv. noone should be offended at that. if you think its inappropriate, like a curse word, like saying fxxx on the radio, then thats an argument you can make. but this isnt racism.

Here's what I think.
Dr. Laura is making a point about black people in the media spewing the N word like its nothing BUT its NOT related to the black woman caller's problems.
Obviously the woman is hurt by her husband's friend's comments. They're making comments and jokes in bad taste.
I don't think it is appropriate for the Dr. to bring up "niggers, black comics and black rap music", it has nothing to do with the woman's problems. Keep in mind she is a socially conservative.
