Valkyrie Profile 2 - No Damage Run (8 of 35)

Audoula is a tedious dungeon, but at least the music is pretty nice. The battle plan for Kraken is the same one I use in crystal runs, but you don't get to see the full thing here because it dies too quickly. Normally, I beat on it until about 49 AP or so, and then start manipulating a shorter range attack. If done properly, you can dash back into the corner, recover AP, and then dash back into attack position. Repeat until the thing dies.

This is also a good spot to have Free Item handy. If Kraken somehow decides to be a total buttmonkey and stick with a long range attack, you have one last shot at changing it with whatever item you use. For best results, have Mithra with Free Item (4 Beast Pelts) use an Iceproof Trinket on himself. Tidal Wave won't hurt him at all for a while, so you can revive Dylan and continue on.

Of course, you could just farm Freeze Checks and turn this fight into an even bigger snooze-fest, but that would take forever. I've done that before, so I know firsthand.
