Yes cars are better built but I have a 63 Galaxie XL and this one has outlived the last 5 new cars I've had and will also outlive my wife's 2005 Mercedes which is starting to show it's age. Having said that nothing beats ABS in modern cars and also having an AM/FM stereo and CD, air conditioning etc. BUT !!!! When I drive the Galaxie at least two people a day ask me questions about it.
In reality cars today are built better than they were forty years ago; they last longer, have superior technology and are far more fuel efficient. That being said, I still miss the old days, the Fifties and Sixties, when I grew up and every year there was a new style of gas guzzler from every automaker. Some were butt-ugly like the 1958 Ford, while others were rolling artworks like the 1959 Cadillac. Styles were hit or miss, but to this day I can spot a '59 Pontiac or '60 Chevy on the street.
The 1960 Ford is the most beautiful year they ever made. Especially the wagon.

Somewhat dissapointing because several of the photos of the Ford cars were blurred, grainy, or out of focus.

Basically just a bunch of horribly out of focus pictures of 1960 Ford Starliners and then a hogepoge of other nondescript junk
