In Bi'lin 5-9-08, an unusually feverous crowd gathered for the town's weekly demonstration against the wall and the occupation taking place on their land. Roughly 80 people marched after prays commenced in the masque around 12pm. Despite the lack of food and water for those observing the Ramadan fast, the crowd marched to the fences vehicle gate, where they where met by the IDF. Perhaps expecting a lower turn out do to the fast, the IDF was ill prepared for the mass of demonstrators. The initial group of five IDF soldiers was quickly joined by another dozen troops and the IDF riot vehicle with its mounted water cannon. After trying to pass through the gate the demonstrators where met with a hail of tear gas grenades, driving them back temporarily. A short while later, the crowd had reassembled and again tried to pass through the gate, which just prior to another volley of gas, they were able to lift off its hinges. After the gate was dismantled, the riot cannon was then turned on demonstrators causing them to flee again, only to return once more upon the realization that the liquid was simply water dyed blue, compared to the previous weeks when the cannon sprayed a chemical feces mixture. A number of demonstrators then enjoyed a nice cool off from the midday heat for a brief moment before the soldiers started to fire rubber bullets, affectively ending the demonstration. Luckily no one was injured by the bullets but many suffered from gas inhalation and light blue stained t shirts.
Notice how the calm soldiers don't respond in any way until rocks are thrown at them; then the soldiers respond with non-lethal measures: tear gas and water. Although this is a pro-Palestinian video, the Palestinians and their fellow travelers in the video end up looking like tools.

God bless them, they are stronger than me. If more people had this courage we wouldn't have injustice in the world.
