DEEP BASS RUMBLE Subwoofer test

Warning! Some ported and tapped horn speaker designs can have their drivers damaged when operated below their tuned frequency range if played loud enough. I'm NOT responsible for any damage!

This track contains very little content above 45 Hz, so small speakers and small subwoofers may not produce the sound properly (if at all). It is designed for large volume deeply tuned subs with extension down into the 20Hz or below.

Here is how I made the track using Audacity 1.3 (free software):

Create "brown" noise. keep amplitude at .8 or less. make it only 2 - 4 seconds long (it will become much longer when you slow it down).

Under the "effect" menu, use the speed function and slow to -96%.

Under the "effect" menu, use the low pass filter and set 48db roll off and cut off frequency at whatever you want (I used 45 Hz).

When playing back, turn off EQ or clipping can result before amplification.

that's pretty cool my my sub picked it up but its only a 6" or 8"

This will be good for testing an amp I'm building, I'm happy with most of it, but I dont think tyhe tone controll let's much bass though, I'll play this through it and find out.
