My mom just used cheap store brand biscuits. She just pinched off small pieces and threw them in the broth until they float to the top. I 'm gonna try the second one, but I'm not waiting 8 hours on that first recipe. No sir!

These look great, but are nothing like the chicken and dumplings I've had. The kind I'm used to are practically biscuits in a casserole type dish. The first is practically chicken noodle soup and the second, well, those just look good. I'll have to give them a try.

@fowlkesbrian You have obviously never made your gradma's chicken and dumplings. You'd be amazed how much flavor there is in just chicken water, salt pepper and flour. Try it!
