WHERE do you make your own designs to be uploaded to the machine? Ive bin searching but i found no luck.

Yes, U can use a USB stick (pendrive) to transfer custom designs

@carlmoberg You can buy a cap hoop for this machine, it will go up to 5X7. This and the Project Runway machine are apparently identical.

ok I got this machine in July,and I can not figure out how to embroidery more than 3 letters..for ex..Campbell...how do I do this and where is a step by step video that can show me how to do different things,,,I didn't think the video was all that greaT..thanks in advance,Dotti

I'm not too sure about thicker materials. My wife makes quilts with the standard sewing machine setup. The one I bought came with a single standard sized loop. We haven't tried caps, so I can't comment either way. Best of luck!

I believe the usb is only for connecting to the computer. If you want to transfer custom images to the machine, you will need some special Brother software called PE-Design. I believe the current version is PE-Design Next and it can do this, but it is quite expensive...

It's still working great! My wife uses it many times per week, and still good as new. It's definitely the best gift I've ever given her!
