The report argues the need for legally binding targets in Ireland, and provides a review of climate change legislation implemented in other jurisdictions. The report stresses the importance of a long-term cross-generational approach to legislation that informs all government departments, in order to ensure that Ireland is at the forefront of global efforts to mitigate the worst effects of climate change.
