My daughter Rachel and her friend Emily chose to participate in the Parkinson's Unity Walk in memory of my mom. In 1 week at their high school, they raised $396 from students and teachers. On April 28, 2012, the 3 of us joined thousands in Central Park to join the walk. It was amazing to watch these 2 teenagers partake in this awesome event and volunteer their time: a time when many kids would rather be home or out with their friends. After the walk, caught them dancing to the music played at the walk. They didn't care who saw and showed support, courage, fun, unity, love and most of all the Spirit of the Parkinson's Unity Walk - the Parkinson's family. So proud of them and what an honor for my Mom, and all ofther Parkinson's patients and their families and friends.
