I happen to prefer this version over the upbeat "Period of Transition" version. Is likely because I have a live VM performance from 1974 (Don Kirschner's Rock Concert, maybe?) where Van does FF this way, and it's gorgeous.
so my man who posted this, enlighten us ignorant vm fans, donde ustedes find this treasure, and where can we buy it. WOW! i feel like iam #1 vm fan, but in all my days ive never heard this, and this song exemplifies the essecse of van morrison. props to you my man.
@Jakuta11 Sorry, no can do. It's on cassette tape, and I'm the King of Lo-Tech.

Actually - this slower version is from the album "The Philosopher's Stone".
The fantastic alternative, upbeat version is from "A Period of Transition" - which was produced by Malcolm John "Mac" Rebennack, Jr. (Dr. John)

from the album A PERIOD OF TRANSITION another very underrated van album.
There is also an alternative arrangement of the song on the PHILOSOPHER'S STONE ( double album-worth checking out )
