I happen to prefer this version over the upbeat "Period of Transition" version. Is likely because I have a live VM performance from 1974 (Don Kirschner's Rock Concert, maybe?) where Van does FF this way, and it's gorgeous.

Actually - this slower version is from the album "The Philosopher's Stone".
The fantastic alternative, upbeat version is from "A Period of Transition" - which was produced by Malcolm John "Mac" Rebennack, Jr. (Dr. John)
