  • dude.......you should have brushed the balls and the kabobs lightly with an oil of some kind....sesame or olive, ur choice.

  • @shoegal672 If you do want to brush them with oil I would advise against both sesame or olive unless you are aright with altering the taste of the final dish since these oils have distinctive tastes.

  • If you arrive in Hanoi, you will see they barbecue on the charcoal . Grill meat over charcoal makes the meat taste more fragrant and tasty. I'm sure you enjoyed the food of Vietnam and its people. Make more vietnam food ^ ^

Glad to see you make VN food because I'm a vietnamese :x

  • @sun14968 I am going to Vietnam for the first time on Friday and am very excited for the food.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • where do you get thick soy sauce?

  • @Jojeeh

You can get thick soy sauce at most Asian grocery stores, and some regular large grocery stores in the Asian section. It can also be called "Dark Soy Sauce" as opposed to "Light Soy Sauce".

    I hope this helps.

  • I went to hanoi, this chrismas, my brother lives there (i'm from belgium) and bun cha was my favourite dish though the food in vietnam was all delicious!!!

  • Eating dry charbroiled pork with vermicelli noodles is way better; sadly most noodle shops between LA and ATL serves the pork like this guy does. Only the Noodle World in Moneterey Park,CA serves the good kind that I know of. : ( :(

  • @pleaseorderbynumber Not to mention that the Vietnamese don't use olive oil....

  • you ta^m thit heo hay l`a nhun thit heo">">

  • This looks delicious. Thanks for not over complicating it! I grew up, eating this kind of food (my dad worked with a guy who's wife owned a Vietnamese restaurant and we went there all the time) I make spring rolls and soups but have been hesitant to make something like this ^^ I think I will now!
