because he broke his Fucking Feet.
At one of the earlier shows he jumped off one of the platforms and broke both feet. He stayed up by the turntables most of the show, once he crawled out on his knees and climbed up on the one drum set.

this isn't the pittsburgh show, sid stayed behind his station the entire time.

this is the Pittsburgh show. I think it was the 3rd song they played, sid crawled over and climbed up on the custom drums on the left. Then he came down front to the front in the wheelchair at the end.
