@charlottedrenee No one cares if you think its not better than Diana's. This is Aretha version not Diana's. And you can shut that shit up about Aretha oversinging, Aretha has never oversang. The reason her voice has changed is because she was a chain smoker. This version has more passion and conviction than Diana's. Aretha knows how to make a song hers.

Well you and that Dj are out of your damn minds. Aretha recorded version of It's My Turn is soulful and full of emotion. Aretha was shouting or screeching and nothing about her interpretation was over the top. She brought emotion to that song, something Ross doesn't fully bring. Aretha's version was perfect, when Aretha does an cover of someone else material, it's never about competition, it's about about give her own interpretation. And i feel that Ree's version is better.
