The Tail of Emily Windsnap

Emily Windsnap lives in a boat docked on a harbor with her mom, wondering how her father could abandon her. She's never been in water fully. Not even a bath. Mr. Beeston is a creepy lighthouse man that seems to have a thing for her mom (EWW!!!) and is keeping a secret. When Emily joins the swim team she finds that not everything is what it seems. Her father didn't leave on purpose, her mother's amnesia is no accident, and the tail she sprouts is defiantly genetic. With the help of her new friend Shona, she just might show the bullies at school who she is, find her father, and maybe, just maybe be normal in some world.
