This is my rendition of the song; I'm quite proud of this one. The third string is tuned to F#. First chords looks like Eminor, the second is an A, second fret is barred. B-section is seventh fret, B suspended (looks like Bminor) and then A (fifth fret). That's all. Enjoy!

  • thanks for all your positive criticism, guys.

  • Do you have an extra bass string strung up there? What's it tuned to? B?

Very nice job on this song by the way!

  • Thanks,

Yes, I had a luthier add a 7th str. I use it for resonnance or for better voice-leading in the bass. The string, which is thicker, can be tuned at Eb, D, C# or C (only on rare occasions do I tune down to B). for more info, search yahoo! group 'guitar7ch'

  • I'm not a musician but I'm a Cockburn fan and I think you did a heartfelt job.

  • You do a great job with this. I haven't heard this song for such a long time. And there's not much of it on Youtube. Thanks for posting.

  • This song has special significance to me and I totally appreciate your version of it... well done and thank you for reminding me about Bruce's music :)

  • actually I think you sing it pretty well.

  • Awesome!

  • what's that extra string? That's pretty cool!

  • Nice cover :)

one of my (many) favorite Cockburn tunes

  • I just reread my previous comment and it sounded harsh, which was not my intention. Well done on the ax

  • it IS raw -- the idea was to do first takes of everything I do. 'Do' meaning guitar work - the voice is secondary. I'm nosinger (nevertheless obsessed musician)

-- the 'fash...' was a slip of the tongue.

Gladly I can record an instrumental...

    you sing the voice-over.
