This is the second video on how to make biodiesel from used cooking oil. In this video I will show you how to do a Titration Test. This will help you determine the correct amount of catalyst to us in your test batch and then in your full batch. If you have any questions just ask..

  • So you were holding the pink for 30 seconds like you said was required but then you added more to make an even number to work with is that what I'm getting out of this video? Won't that throw off your mix and I must say of the hundreds of videos and articles I've watched and read, this is the first to mention anything about neutralizing the alcohol before you do anythng else. I'm skeptical now.

I did say it held for 30 second but look at the 9 minute mark and you will see that it started to go back to a acid base at the 30 second mark. I like my titration tests to hold for 45 seconds or longer. The recommendation is 30 second that is why I say 30 in the video's. The longer you hold it the better. Sorry for the confusion.
