Over 50,000 VIEWS?! Thanks for the interest! Wow, I really didn't know just how popular these little buggers can be.

Oh, I'm not sure what was going through my head. Maybe I was lonely on account of my silverfish having just died. But... as soon as I saw this little guy, I felt inclined to capture the magic on video.

I've had a house centipede run across my bare shoulder blades, scurry up my legs & feet, crawl over one of my hands, and drop onto the top of my head. This has been throughout the years... with different house centipedes. I haven't done all of this with this one. I mean... we only just met. I've also accidentally stepped on a house centipede, with a sock on. My foot got stung and the house centipede broke. Part of the house centipede ran away. The end.

  • Biologically its not a centipede, even if its called one and it is not poisonous. Your cat chose the right snack.

Search Wikipedia for Scutigera coleoptrata. This Animal is totally harmless to us and not known for spreading deseases. On the contrary, it preys on anilmals that do.

  • @Kessl1492 No, it is NOT good for cats to snack on. House Centipedes contain a venom which can build up in cats' systems and make them sick, potentially causing death through a variety of possible organ failures.

  • My cat loves to eat those Centipedes, they're a healthy snack.

  • @SonOfEnkiGodOfWisdom They're really not. They are venomous and can be toxic to your cat, potentially causing death. Some toxins build up in an animal over time asymptomatically. By the time you are able to recognize anything wrong with the animal, it may be too late. So, no... not a good snack.
