@joejjohnston And got little thanks for it. No wonder Putin dons black clothing and tries to look and act sinister all the time. Russians equate dictatorship with prosperity and national strength and democracy with economic collapse and national humiliation.

Gorbachev was socialist. He's recently written an article in The Guardian. He just saw the leadership before him for the sham that it was. He did a lot to help democracy there.

Thatcher feared,that there would be another major power in Europe . She gave a crap about the freedom of other people. She was one of those filthy opportunists of the time.
