  • Hah, this and two other game title screens were included on the "B" side of the Melbourne Draw program tape... I wonder if that's the program they used to create them?

  • @grandmothersapplepie lol, I remember playing the tapes through a stereo at as high a volume as possible because that would often guarantee it would load. Nothing worse than ten minutes of loading and then the game crashing

  • @TopTellyFan I totally agree mate!! It took me many hours of frustration to complete this complex adventure. When I got back to the Hobbit's house with the treasure I could only get a score of 78% if I remember correctly.

I still got this game in my collection, and watching this certainly brought back fond memories!! :D

  • What a sweet sound, still love Amstrad load sound better though. And speedlock was amstrad on speed.

  • Its now 22 years since I got hypnotised by that border light show. I swear, I'm low on brain memory. The zapping must have stored up those games into my head . when science is ready, maybe I can start playing those games in my sleep. I seem to remember being able to speed up the picture load. Experimentation with audio speed allowed a few specific octave levels resulting in higher pitch / faster load.

The errors were greater because of the limitations of tape drives.

  • the old LP-ROM drives were much better than casettes

  • wow to much 80s king of pcs

  • just beautiful!
