  • DS,

It has been seven months. What do you think the success and failures have been?

  • I see you sent me missive. I'll have to read it. Success and failure are being viewed through filters. I will say this. Throwing out polling numbers and opinions I see a social paradigm shift that did not exist. I see at least a 4 year mandate to execute a fundamental shift in science and innovation, as well finance and oversight. I am actually putting money to work (I'm a walking contrarian indicator). I see growing stability. I see a ballooning debt that gives me pause.

  • I see multiple plans to execute what look like minor cuts that can add up in the aggregate. I see a possibility for Medicare reform in high cost pockets throughout the country that can net trillions in future dollar savings. I see TAXES! I HATE TAXES. I will lobby for the Fair Tax. I see a Republican Sec Def that is continuing success and is no longer beholden executive privilege and the Mil Complex, retooling are military for the 21st century defense. I finally see hope.

  • Friend,

Polling numbers are falling. I also know that polling numbers can be manipulated. The way a question is asked or the phrasing of the question can turn a poll into propaganda. Also who you ask can do the same thing. So poll numbers mean...nothing. Especially political polls. I don't belong to either party. I don't trust the Reps.or Dems. Look critical at both and they are the same. They have work to divide us. Why? What is the political need to make the country so divided? To weaken us.

  • Frio ... I know. However, we are bound by the parameters in which our system operates. That doesn't mean we can't change it and make it better. But it does mean that we have to approach the change we want with critical cognition. We need good strong effective plans that leverage individual critical success. I hate taxes, but I see them on the horizon. the critical question becomes what are you doing to soften its impact on your personal situation.

  • I think it's awesome I mean it shows that anyone can be president and totaly show this fact : everyone is finaly equal in america ( english isn't my native language sorry for the faults :))

  • It really does show that the possibility exists, right? Even if we don't see a President of a different ethnicity for another 50 years, the point is that it happened. And more importantly, I'm fairly certain we'll see more change sooner rather than later. Don't worry about the faults! I thank you for the comment!

  • Freind, We can't change anything. We can call and write our Senators. We can can and write our House Reps. We can call and write the White house. THEY don't listen. They have their own agenda. It is like Mouselend. We keep voting cats into office, Cats make great laws.........For cats.

Freind we are the mice. Obama is just another cat politician........Ok, we can try to effect positive changes but......The TAXman cometh......any positive changes will be crushed by the TAXman.

  • Friend, We both see TAXES.......that is not a good thing.
