I love the wolf for Robin, too. Children always sees things more for what they are, so the fact that her wolf actually LOOKS like a wolf is a really amazing idea.

If you explore the forest more, Robin says she likes "wild games" like running and jumping and "best of all, riding". She also says she wants to hug some "big fluffy thing".

Robin plays with the wolf because she doesn't understand that she could get hurt. She basically doesn't have an understanding of danger and death.
