@ferrispoint: By tthe time it hit DVD, the Muppet brands were split, with the Fraggles still owned by Jim Henson Productions, Disney owning The Muppets (from The Muppet Show & Muppet Babies), and the ex-Children's Television Workshop owning Sesame Street. Thus, legalities involving the Muppet brands & the Xmas songs--released by various distributors--prevents this from being seen in full, just like Muppet Babies will not be on DVD, due to the scenes used from various franchises throughout.

I had the same thing happen to me. I use to love watching this with all of the original commercials, then it got recorded over by my brother. We got the DVD recently, but it just isn't the same because there are no commercials and they cut out scenes!

Yea I will. I tried last year but The place I went to said that could not do it. So As soon as I get around to it I will let you know. I want to see it again before the holidays. The tape is so old that I am afraid that if I watch it on the vhs player is will get destoryed. I talked about it all summer with my mom saying that we need to get this done. So just bear with me i am thinking a week or so I will try again. Okay

ramtruck20, please please please if you would consider putting this to DVD [including commercials] & I will buy it from you! My mom recorded this for us in 1988 and we used to watch it every year until 2000, when it accidentally got recorded over. :( You could make my dreams come true by making it for me so that I could see the MFC uncut & w/ original commercials {as I knew and loved it]! Thank you!

scootersweetpuppy, yes, please record it to DVD. I have the '88 version but some of it got recorded over [damn timer recording!]. Dude, I would seriously buy a copy from you. Consider this please?

I have a copy taped in 88. It is uncut, but the quality of it is slightly dimenished from its original glory. I'm thinking about recording it to dvd.?

I watch this on VHS every year in December and around Xmas time and the morning of Xmas eve, except, I'm very upset that the one I have is the cut version. They should've release the uncut version on both VHS & DVD so it will be better. The uncut version aired in 12/16/1987 (4 years, 3 months, 9 days before I was born) and I never saw the uncut version, but it's good anyway.
