  • In the bible homosexuality rocks.... And honestly people get it wrong

  • You are right to a certain degree. that these texts you mentioned were anti-assimillation texts. The Mosaic law was based on Gods law, and developed for the hebrew people, based on where they were and what direction they needed to go.

However there is another aspect to it, in that they understood that the law was developed for the good of the society, not the individual.

Abomination = Extremely undesirable ie not in line with the purpose you were created for.

  • @Christisms Some of the jews did believe in the legalistic righteousness. Scribes and saducees did.

  • Excellent video.

  • What about David and Jonathan's relationship?

  • Romans 1? and at least one other nt verse... not too big of a deal anyway cuz morality wont save anybody...

  • I was under the impression that the Israelites were surrounded by violent enemies and would have a lot of social incentive to maximize child production.

  • @HeIsSailing

The works of the law (or works of Torah) mentioned in Romans in the New Testament was the laws that separated Jews from Gentile. Most Evangelicals are under the delusion that the Jews believed in a legalistic salvation. The problem was these laws were met to separate the Jews from the Gentiles, but both were members of the church. There was not to be a separation, nor were the Gentiles suppose to become Jewish.
