Remember in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, how at the end of each Act 1, a goal post would fall down from the sky, and you could jump to keep the thing in the air for as long as you wanted? Well, it's back in this game, except you have an objective now: It will fall down at the beginning, and you must take it to the end of the corridor without it anchoring itself to the ground.

You can't get bonus Monitors by standing where it lands in certain places though.

This time, you can get it to touch the ground. It will spin rapidly in place for about 3 seconds before you get a 5-second penalty and Eggman laughs (you don't fail the mission though). However, you can keep up a chain if you can keep the signpost without touching the ground. It'll count up the number of leaps to touch the post, and for every multiple of 10 jumps, Sonic will receive Rings equal to that number. Not that it's really worth much except to take hits.

And chances are hits you will take. It starts off mild enough--you have to take the post through narrow corridors and, at one point, get it down a shaft, but you only need to focus on the post. Later on, though, there will be Egg Pawns all too eager to chuck their pickaxes at Sonic. How humiliating would it be to try to attack Sonic and getting destroyed while Sonic is already distracted by something else. The Egg Pawns don't have any goal posts to juggle!

This song is from Neo Green Hill Act 1 in Sonic Advance. Tatsuyuki Maeda seems to be one of Dimps's in-house composers and has wandered off to do Sonic music for non-Dimps games.

this song really should of been in Green Hill since it is even in the name of the song

@sonamyfan666 I already had 5 songs assigned to Green Hill (Emerald Hill, Green Hill Original, Palmtree Panic, Splash Hill, and Mushroom Hill). I try to keep things evenly distributed, so each region has 5 songs, except Speed Highway, which has 4.

@Overhazard you know since this challenge harkens back to Sonic 3 and Knuckles Mushroom Hill would of made more sense and put Neo Green Hill were that one was because you mention it your self Mushroom Hill felt out of place in that challenge
