"Re: Woyzeck" Sneak Peek

A sneak peek at the fifth show of the Hunger Artists Theatre Company's 2007 season: the World Premiere of "Re: Woyzeck".

This startling new look at Georg Buchner's classic unfinished play "Woyzeck" revolves around Franz Woyzeck, a soldier who has become a notorious figure since he was caught on video killing his wife. As millions of people circulate the video, Woyzeck asks us to speculate on what could have driven him to such actions. With equal parts humor and pathos, the play explores modern military practices, medical procedures, the rising popularity of home-made videos and the exploitation of tragedy. The production stars Hunger Artists founding member Mark Coyan as Woyzeck, is directed by founding member Kelly Flynn and was adapted by Artistic Director Jeremy Gable.
