A group which is led by Athein have been marching from Portland, Oregon to New York City starting on March 1st 2008. Today, they just arrived New York City and the Burmese Monks from IBMO welcomed them.
I dont understand Burmese, but I understand their plight and frustrations about their own motherland. World leaders, especially those in ASEAN, must shake off their apathy towards Burmese people, forget their economic gains by supporting the cruel Myanmar generals - must start proceedings to free Burmese from a merciless and murdering dictatorship. Have pity on these Burmese people will you not?
Their passion and conviction is obvious... wish there were subtitles...wish the people who walked past had joined in solidarity. Free Aung San Suu Kyi!
Wish i could join you..
but i couldn't =(
but still.. i cal still cheer you guys.. and support you guys.
