McPhail's interpretation of large-format book of Eugene Field's familiar bedtime lullaby. 3 bunnies, clothed as sailors, off in the wooden shoe that sails through a dreamy version of the night sky and into the bedroom of a little girl. After they scatter stars onto her blanket, and she quickly falls asleep, they glide back toward the benevolent moon. Adapted for Brooklyn Blowback by David Kay, MLS
I love this poem. But I am appalled by this really awful reading. The man's flat "cracker" voice, his mistakes, mispronuciations and the tinny music in the background....just too terrible for words!!!
