VW continue their support of Independent Cinemas with a new set of idents that will screen in cinemas from 14 August 2009. Ad agency DDB worked with Moxie Pictures and director Seth Gordon (King of Kong) to find three stories that testify the power of film. In this film we see a young man under the spell of Willy Wonka...
this is torture, all I could think of when it played in the cinema was just let it stop, I'll do anything, please make it go away. same goes for all the other smug, bland, unfunny VW ads. only the one about the dude was barely tolerable. if you still insist that you like this, try watching it 20 times and see how you feel then. sorry derek, this isn't about you, all the best mate.

Thanks to VW for their support of independent film and for giving Derek McKee an avenue to share his love of magic. Derek is an amazing young man as well as a FANTASTIC magician. He has a way of transporting everyone in the audience into his world, no matter if he is performing for one person or a whole auditorium full of people. Expect great things from him in the future, he is definitely on the road to success!

His card manipulation act seems to be an almost direct copy of Peter Marvey's, Derek's look, dress... even his gestures.
Now, before you all turn the subject to me and the above statement. Do me a favour.... type in Peter Marvey on youtube, it will be the first result. Watch it, then you can make an informed response
