Georges Méliès, magicien de profession, décida de de devenir réalisateur suite à la découverte du cinématographe. Cependant, si ses premiers court-métrages n'étaient que des imitation des films des frères Lumière, Méliès, suite à son installation au studio de Montreuil, commença à réaliser des films véritablement uniques.

A noter que le théâtre Robert Houdin, lieu où a été tourné cette vidéo, était la propriété de Méliès depuis 1888 (il monta de nombreux spectacles de prestidigitation avant de se lancer dans le cinéma).

  • Of course it's a trick. This video is 115 years old ! But don't forget that Méliès made the firsts fantasy movies ever ! Maybe you should watch "a trip to the moon (le voyage dans la Lune)", wich is one of his best films (you can see all his movies on my chanel).

  • @lordtufty He invented the special effects in the XIXth century, so he was the first. It is normal if the trick is not very impressive nowadays.

  • Fake. Look at 0:37. Her dress clearly disappears and the whole thing glitches. Clearly stopped filming, made her move, and then continued. Didn't even do it well
