History from my point of view (also thanks to John [DiggerFan] for some info.)
1982 The original red Grave Digger debuts in Morgan Corner, NC.
1983 Digger's engine is transform from a small block in to a big block.
1984 Digger body change from red to a blue and grey panel truck.
1985 Once again body change to what is now legendry print job.
1987 2000HP Rodeck engine is outlawed in monster truck circuit.
1988 Digger beat both the Kong Brothers and Bigfoot in St. Paul, MN on national television. Digger Dungeon is build. Also Digger finished 5th in the first season of the TNT Motorsports points series with 161.5 pts
1989 Digger expands in to two teams of trucks. The 1st fiberglass body version is made. On the TNT Motorsports circuit Digger finish 4th with 446pts.
1990 This year wasn't Anderson year in race finish in 9th with 340pts. A lot of it was with problems with the truck.
1991 Digger goes to Australia
1992 Dennis Anderson suffered rib injury after hitting the wall after the finish against Mark Bendler at the Louisville Motorspeedway. After that event Lyle Hancock took over the driving that Camel Monster Truck season. Also 1st green chassis appears under the truck.
1993 Grave Digger race on the Monster Wars show, but finished in 5th place with 615 pts also had five event wins that season. Also Pablo Huffaker joins team Grave Digger
1996 Anderson out of action for six months with a broken back.
1997 Grave Digger #12 debuted in St. Louis in January 1997.
1998 On October 17, 1998, a Grave Digger truck carrying twenty-five passengers flipped over, crushing passenger Joy Kubitza's right arm between the truck and the sand. This took place at a promotional show on Virginia Beach, featuring rides in Grave Digger for only US $5. All twenty-five passengers were treated at a hospital and released; Kubitza later returned for an additional 37 surgeries to help with the pain the accident caused. Kubitza was formerly a preschool teacher, but the extent of her injuries prevented her from going back to work. She subsequently sued Grave Digger Inc as well as the show's promoter Cellar Door Entertainment. A settlement was reached the day of the trial and Kubitza will receive US $12 million to be paid over her lifetime. Later that year Dennis sold the rights of the truck to USHRA. Charlie Pauken join the team.
1999 Dennis Anderson wins his 1st championship taken the USHRA points series after the season was over Gary Porter joins the team
