Derby Quad, Timelapse construction of the building

This is a time-lapse video I have created showing the construction (so far, upto 19th March 2008) of Derby Quad.
The first sequence is made from 325 images taken at 11am each day.
The night sequence is made from 322 images taken at midnight each day.
The fast sequence is made from 344 images taken at 3pm each day.
My Then and now transition at 00:21 was not as simple as it should have been because the camera has actually dropped down over the last year so the images do not line up like they should have done so I had to move the later image up to match it.

As well as construction footage you can see how the leaves of the tree change over the seasons and also see what happens to the hoardings around the base of the Quad building and the flower basket growing too !

This building is being constructed on the edge of Derby Market place near Derby Assembly Rooms.

What is Derby QUAD? :
Its a gallery, cinema, cafe bar and workshop that anyone can use.
When the QUAD building opens 26th September 2008 it will provide facilities and services that connect people and businesses to art and film, creating opportunities for entertainment, education and participation.

No, its actually a linux Cron task so you can specify when to take an image.

Wow good to see they have fianlly built something there, shame a lot of it seems to be blocks of concrete :( I think that is all Derby will be in 20 years! ah well - cracking video :)
