Scritchit Chewing the bars !

Rattle rattle rattle that's all my poor ears hear - poor old 'Big Brother' doesn't stand a chance - and it's 'Man Friday' so I'm *trying* to concentrate..... all I can hear is little Princess Scritchit, the chewiest hamster in town, chomp chomp chomping on her bars !

Hamsters chewing on bars is not due to neglect most of the time but because of the fact that there teeth are constantly growing so they need to gnaw them down. But its not healthy for them to chew on metal bars wood is good though.

My hamsters used to do this so much theyd get a lil bald spot over their nose! :O

I know why your Hamster makes this. The cage and the Playground are animal abuse. It's all to small and the Hamster is going to become aggressive...poor Hamster!!!!

@setox56 it is not good for them actually. if they chew the bars alot because .metal is so hard, their teeth will grow up into their brains and give them brain damage, i'm not sure if it can kill them but it can really damage their brains.
