250 have been sold to universities and the like. The president also claims that you'll be able to ask NAO a question and it will wirelessly connect to the internet, find text, and then speak it. He says you'll be able to call NAO to you, that it will recognize your face, etc.. but that it has the intelligence of an ant (which is probably an exaggeration, to be honest). Nothing ground-breaking, really. QRIO makes this one look like a toy. 10,000 Euros!

It's just talking about the robot. The robot is in production for a year and has been sold already to research laboratories for training (AI, other robotics applications) it has 4 microphones, 2 speakers, cameras and things like that, it's 23 inches tall. They also say a taller version is not planned before about 4 years. They say the market for humanoid robots will be huge especially as personnal assistants, care taker for old people. Nothing we don't know already.
