Its good to see a pilot and CO that not only flys his bird but knows the basics of how everything works. I work on these daily, I am one of those "Line rats" lol. Bird is washed 14days on land and every 7 at sea. Only difference is on our birds and this one is the BRU looks longer on this one. It extends past the fuel fill panel. Both are sh-60b's also. Thanks for uploading the vid.

How long does it take to become a Navy Helicopter Pilot?

Some poor line rats spent HOURS washing this bird.

Mr. Baze was an awesome Commanding Officer. He knows the bird well. ;)

It seems that Denmark very soon will buy a bunch of these good looking babes... - They will probably be used in the coming war against the evil and whale blubber loving Canadians trying to take over North West Passage, Northern Greenland(DK)

Aviation Warfare Systems Operator (Aircrew) AW

@sk8rcamboy1 Well I am not a pilot but I know a lot . first, you need 4 yrs college and OCS. also, You better like being out at sea. if not, start to train y going out to sea in boat or dont bother. Its hard to fly a helo, expecially in the navy. requires lots of skill. If I were you, If ur between 10-17 yrs then look into naval sea cadet corps. trust me, you'll learn a lot.
None of the info given by the Commander is secret or classified and can be obtained easily on the internet. I am sure the integrity the U.S. will not be compromised due to this video.

Tell the recruiter you want to be a Naval Aircrewman. The name of the rate is Aviation Warfare Systems Operator or AW. Dont sign any contract until they assure you in writing that you will go to the training for this rate. The better you do in training increases the chances of getting the assignment you want.
