From "Shake, Rattle, and Roll Radio," Lanny Poffo and The Honky Tonk Man both comment on the incident where Jacques Rogeau beat up Tom "Dynamite Kid" Billington and sent his life in a downward spiral. Both men, were with the company at that time and depict a very poor picture of Billington.

  • @MrRiseAboveitall There is a shoot interview with Jacques that was put out by Highspots. He talks about his dad giving him advice to stop at the bank for a roll of coins for the sucker punch.

  • Lol Honky "it could have been me" It would have never been Honky he was a wuss who talked shit about others and when Dynamite slapped him for it he cried like a little bitch.

  • Where did you hear that? I have heard shoot interviews of both the rougeau's and I don't remember a reference to stopping by the bank. Furthermore the Bret Hart interview I was referencing was the Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels feud dvd. So if you could send me a link or tell me where to look for this reference I would appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

  • @carlvis1

Yeah I can tell the Rougeaus were nice guys, sometimes too nice, and so they didn't do anything to report on DK and get him fired-- so DK thought they were cowards and he could bully them with impunity.

DK was clearly an asshole who should have been fired long before, but he had connections through his family relationship with other wrestlers.

The problem is that wrestling has always been a dirty business in America, and wrestlers had even fewer rights during Kayfabe than after.

  • @LucaBlightBadass

Yeah he grabbed Jacques though, and then all the others broke it up.

This is the underside of KayFabe, i.e. there's no one looking out for the wrestlers since they can just claim it's part of the "sport" whenever someone gets beat up, so it's a den of violence.

Also if anyone complains then they get blacklisted by the organizations-- like the guy who quit because he was being sexually harassed, and Davis Schultz called him a liar and said wrestling was real etc.

  • @MrRiseAboveitall

No, they all said that the brothers "stopped by the bank" before retaliating.

By "weapon," I mean a roll of quarters that Jacque had in his fist-- thus the reference to father Rougeau telling them to "stop by the bank" before taking revenge.

A roll of quarters weighs over half a pound, and Bret Hart said it was an overhand punch like a baseball pitch; so that would be like getting clocked in the mouth by a fastball in addition to his fist.

  • @SouthParkBear The only person whoever said there was a weapon was dynamite kid, these two, the Rougeaus and Bret hart said there wasn't and that Dynamite Kid deserved it. Bret Hart was one of his friends so unless I hear some other people say there WAS a weapon I will believe there wasn't.

  • @dynamitekid187 i live near manchester i'd love to bumb into him while hes doing high flying wheelchair wheelies.

  • @niceguy198421 Even jacques said when he hit him with the roll of quarters dynamite didn't go down and he admited that dynamite was one tough bastered!

  • @niceguy198421 Only Tom & Jacque can tell you what actually went down that day. I worked with and for both of them in the 90's and all I can say is that the Rogeau's were a class act with loving family's and pride and the British Bulldogs were bully's and cocky like all the Hart family members were (Excluding Owen).
